The Black Dahlia or the World's Most Obscure Crime

The Black Dahlia or the most mysterious crime in the world. In the world of crime, the rule is that there is no complete crime.

But the reality is that there were actually unsolved crimes, and I left the police and detectives confused.Years and long years.

The crime of "Black Dalia" is the most famous and unknown murder of more than half a century.

Who's the Black Dahlia?

Her name is Elizabeth Short, a junior actress at the time of Compares, the third daughter of five sisters.

The father escaped and left the family alone.

At the age of 16, Elizabeth was moving from one area to another, in search of livelihood, arrested more than once.

Because of the drunkenness, she was said to have engaged in prostitution to live, and she was standing by herself on the main streets .She's wearing sexy clothes.

Men in Her Life

The men in her life were many, but most notably in Florida, where Elizabeth Short met the Major.

Matthew Michael Gordon Jr., a pilot in the Indian region of the United States Army who fell in love with him.

After planning to get married, the pilot was killed in a plane crash shortly before.

His return to the United States, caused her great sadness.

In 1946, Elizabeth Short returned to Los Angeles to meet Lieutenant Joseph Gordon Flicking.

And he's the ex-boyfriend that I called back, and they lived together in the Southern California area, and life seemed stable.

She began her dream of acting and actually appeared in a number of films in small roles, most famously "Gone with the Wind."

Find Body

On 15 January 1947, when Ms. Betty Bersinger was going shopping with her child,

Early in the morning, she saw parts of what looked like a human body, and I thought at first she was a plastic model.

Broken from a clothing store, before getting closer and making sure it's a torn human body, I called the police directly.

Horrific murder and mutilated body

The body was terrifically mutilated, and with the arrival of cops and detectives, it was clear that the crime behind it was a very big mystery, and that it was not just body distortion.

It was a deep blow to the cheeks, giving the body a nasty smile, and then slicing the body in half from the pelvis.

The trunk and abdomen were apart, while the intestines were tied tightly under the body's buttocks.

In addition to all this horror, the killer emptied the intestines and all the body completely out of the blood. It was clear that he had washed the body.

While all the limbs were neatly tidy, he placed the arms over the head to form angles 90 degrees at the elbows, while the legs were far apart, and near the limbs there was a cement bag containing water blood.

After the autopsy, then confirm that it was Elizabeth Short, and that the death resulted from several blows to the head she received.

Media captures case

Because of the horror of the crime, the media quickly reported the case, and it became the talk of all the newspapers, the councils.

Even then, in trying to find an explanation for this mysterious case, the rumors about the case did not stop, to the point that it became disgusting, investigations went on and on and on, and to the point of writing these lines the killer did not know.

Why the Black Dahlia?

The name is said to have come from the fact that Elizabeth liked to put a dahlia flower on her hair. It is also said that a film, "The Blue Dahlia," was released shortly after the crime, about the murder of a young woman and the search for her killer.

The Impact of Murder on Culture

This mysterious affair poured out much ink,, and I have fooled many writers and filmmakers over the decades, to produce literary works that have been immortal to today, for example: James Elroy published a novel by the pseudonym Short in 1987, while Steve Hodel wrote an article entitled The Black Dahlia Affair in 2005, over a large number of plays on the story.

Hollywood produced a film with the same title, and a lot of crime-inspired artwork, as well as several video games in the name of the Black Dahlia.

The investigation into the case continued for years, and more than half a century later the killer of the Black Dahlia remains unknown.
